Kyle is an original Rez Dog. He is a blonde, muscular, alpha male who has adopted an assimilated identity. His name is Kyle because he’s basically a jerk. Neighbor just gave him flea and tick meds and a new flea collar. He's not lost, he's a free spirit. We think he was a mighty Plains warrior in his past life. We're not sure who actually owns him, or if he can even be owned, but we all sort of look out for him in exchange for his security services. He keeps an eye on those suspicious Prime drivers - only steals an occasional package when the treats smell particularly tasty. Fences don't stop his wandering as evidenced by his hopping in and out of our backyard earlier this morning to mark my new petunias. He has a bed on one neighbor's porch and food and water at about 3 other houses. He's partial to cheeseburgers and chicken strips. But his real love is a warm meat pie. If you see him away from the Rez, don't feed him so he'll come back to the Rez and his security job. We'll have a talk with him about entering city limits. He may have warrants.

We sit and chat. He watches all day and night and makes many observations about what he sees and hears around the Rez. These are his stories.
